I just...I don't know what to say. It's hard enough for women to get out of an abusive situation, they've now gone and made it harder?

It's just as hard for men as well as women who struggle with abuse to get support, understanding and help. I seriously can't believe how they can come up with that as an excuse to deny help! ARG!

So glad I don't live in the states! Things like this are just insane.

If it's the first time that abuse has happened, then it's not pre-existing. If she knowingly returned to an abusive situation, then she chose to place herself in danger - at least according to the insurance companies.

I'm not saying I agree with them, I'm just saying that I can see where they would think this was a logical decision.
