I agree. And like he can talk when he also has schizophrenia? You'd think his ass would be a bit more sympathetic, but no, after running off, he now wants to point the blame at someone else.

She really fell through the cracks. D:

So, if she was exhibiting warning signs that alarmed dad, why did he bail and leave the kid in the mother's care? It's all well and good, and understandable for him to be angry and calling for her blood, but why didn't he do anything proactive? I know most people would never, ever imagine that someone is capable of something like what this woman did, but even if you have a hint that the child is with someone unstable, wouldn't you be keeping a closer eye on things?

He seems to be in denial right now. If he admits that she appeared unstable, he has to blame himself some. Poor guy.

Each of them is culpable, god damn it. 'Specially Mr. "she didn't seem unstable" asshole husband. What the fuck counts as unstable, running around naked clucking like a chicken?! One does not go from breastfeeding to dismemberment without signs.

The only thing that pisses me off as much as people ignoring mental illness and then acting all shocked and full of blame when the ill person does something crazy is people telling me that Jesus will fix mental illness. ARGH.

This did not happen over night. There were signs, asshole, and you ignored them. You should be arrested and thrown under the jail.

And that aunt and cousins who slept through this? WTF is wrong with you?! Apparently you can sleep through an impromptu mariachi band in the funnel of a tornado.

Wow, I can't even finish the article because it's making me rage. What the fuck? Ugh, sad thing is from reading the original article, I thought and gathered she has schizophrenia.

Omg this is just such a mess. D:

I still can't feel ragey about this. I disagree to hell and back with the baby's dad about the death penalty, but he just lost his son in the most horrific possible way. He's entitled to feel angry about it, even if he does bear some culpability for ignoring the signs.
