Black Professor Arrested for Breaking into.... His Own Home

Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. (who is black), has been arrested for breaking and entering into his own home. Police were called by someone suspicious of Gates' attempts to get into his house after his front door became jammed. The well-known neuroscience professor, who is also black, was stopped by two Harvard police officers in 2004 after being mistaken for a robbery suspect as he crossed Harvard Yard.

Henry Louis Gates, Jr. is one of the angriest black men in America, and he has the money and connections to seriously ruin your shit.

Those cops will be fired, or at the very least writing parking tickets for a very, very long time.

ETA, not to say that I think it's OK to harass ANY person without checking the facts. I know that PoC are targeted a zillion times more than white people when in "questionable" situations.

I'm just saying that they REALLY picked the wrong guy to mess with, because he actually had the means to persue justice, where as most people don't.
