Christmas charity fiasco. This time, a Regretsy reader sent in a story about their own mishap with Paypal, which involved them selling a very old French violin. The violin was examined and authenticated by an official luthier, but still, the buyer disputed the veracity of the label.

What the shit, PayPal?! What they ordered that idiot to do can in no way be legal, they've got shit to pay this time. I hope so, at least. ~_~ They need some comeuppance after all of this recent bullshit, omg.
ETA: And before I saw the picture, I thought the violin would be like... when someone breaks a guitar in half and there's a few pieces connected by strings. NOPE, that thing's as good as toothpicks now.

So let me get this straight: instead of keeping this potentially counterfeit instrument and taking it to the police or similar in order to get them to verify it as either the real McCoy (and thus worth the money) or a fakery in which case they can retrieve the money and arrest the person selling it for fraud, you tell them to smash it to pieces.
