What the fucking hell? Greater unity through racism?

Good job heading even further backwards, Christianity.

uh that's a big jump there. this is one worthless little church behaving disgustingly. the majority of Christians don't give a crap what color your skin is, as proved by Mr. Randy Johnson's statement near the top of the article.

It hasn't exactly been uncommon for the Bible to fuel racism, such as the mark of Cain story keeping the Mormon church segregated and allowing the anti-miscegenation laws on the books until not so long ago.

I said "backwards" because I'm well aware most Christians aren't promoting this, but they certainly have the history to back it up if they want to. Plenty of white supremacists are keeping this stuff going, in any case.

Members of the church held a vote on Thompson's proposed language, with nine voting in favor and six voting against. The other members in attendance chose not to vote to be fucking cowards instead of standing up against racism.

fixed that for ya, yahoo.

and what Mr. Harville said. that's disgusting. i hope Stella and Ticha find a new, loving church home that will be run by people with good sense, not racist scum who have ~*~issues~*~ with the fact that they're two different skin colors.

Dear cowardly members of the church who chose to abstain on the vote

There is a really big hearty fuck you needed here. At least the nine racist bigots had the stupidity of conviction to stand up for their assinine, racist beliefs-may they burn in hell. You people? Cowards and assholes. If you wanted to allow interracial couples, have the courage to stand with the six people who rightfully stood up for their beliefs. And if you were just as much as an asshole as the nine-then stand with them.

I hope Stella and Ticha find a church accepting of them so they can worship in peace.

I really want to know what was up with those that didn't vote. Way to take a stand, you Christian Soldiers!
