How sickening. The cousin I live with is special needs and a larger girl, and I would probably be thrown in jail- along with her mother- for murder if we'd found something like that out. The teacher needs her ass handed to her and to be prohibited from teaching ever again.

dunno if you have time to watch the video interview, but that's what the lawyers pretty much want--for this scum to not only be terminated, but have her teaching certificate yanked for good.

principal and superintendent ought to be penalized too in some way for giving the father shit for complaining to them.

I'm afraid to watch the video. I filled my quota of angry for the week on Sunday, I don't want to go into overtime.

Yeah, they should. Wtf.

What's really rage inducing is that for every teacher caught doing this shit, many more get away with it.

Sensitivity training?! That's like putting a band-aid on a chainsaw wound. But so much kudos to that poor girl for telling her parents, and to her parents for believing her and doing something about it.

Sensitivity training is like putting on a mask - the face beneath is still horrifying and ugly. You haven't solved the problem, you've just told them what they're doing is bad. Likely the teacher already knows that what she is doing is wrong, but is doing it anyway.
