Stamps on DeviantArt being...um...edgy.

Rape Apologism stamp ("I don't consider it rape if you were willfully wasted beyond remembering your own name." Sexism in author's note and comments. Also ableism; these people really seem to like the R-word.)

Racism Stamp (Warning: N-word is used, huge and spelled out in full; "Yeah, I just called you a ( Read more... )

"Also, they're just expressing an ~*opinion*~ which means it magically doesn't harm anybody and they have a right to no disagreement, and by disagreeing with it I'm "just as bad" and "just as intolerant." "

*raises hand* so how come it's okay for them to express an opinion, but it's not okay for you to express your opinion that you disagree?

How old are these people? There are people agreeing with the OP in the comments.

I'm going to guess they're a healthy mix of preteens and middle-aged neckbeards.

Well, the preteens can still learn, but the neckbeards are a lost cause. Here's to them learning hopefully.

What annoys me is how blacks can call other blacks [n-word] but us whites can't. Somehow I see that as racist. Because a particular race can do it but we can't? Either its all ok or none of it is. Besides in everyones family tree we go back to being black. But yea...people need to get over the name calling. However I don't like it when someone feels they need to curse in every sentence, that just seems a bit ...common? not sure its just not attractive to me

Someone tell me what the fuck this even is.

Five major problems with your assessment and your logic:

1) She never claimed that the rapist is without blame, merely that the victim could have taken steps to prevent the rape from occurring. By this logic, that means that the victim is not necessarily blameless. This doesn't mean that the victim is guilty of the rape, merely that she is partially responsible for her actions. This is not victim-blaming.

2) Often times, women are known to behave in a manner that invites this sort of behavior from men. I am not claiming that they are 'asking for it', merely pointing out that dressing like a prostitute will lead other men to think that she may, in fact, be one. This is also not victim-blaming, as I am not saying the rapist is blameless, merely that the victim is not.

3) Her opinion does not simply extend only to female victims. There are male victims of rape, as well; sometimes the rapist is male, sometimes the rapist is female. Your refusal to acknowledge this actually makes you the sexist one of the two of you.(Yeah, I actually ( ... )

Up until the sentence that started with "bitch, please", I felt sorry for him. But what came after that was just a disgusting pile of bullshit.

Yeah DA seems to have a lot of 'drunk people are ttly able to consent IT ALL THEIR FAULT' lately.

Case in point: (Warning, victim-blaming shit at the OP that was drunk and abused by more then one person. Several it seems...) http://forum.deviantart.com/community/life/1574511/

Yeah, pretty much popped in on my DA account to say that since, as a wtf_sexism post from a while ago shows, bohobella is the last one you want to be talking to about about times when yes does not fecking mean yes (I.e you're wasted beyond belief and being badgered by a group of people. They basically took advantage of the OP's insecurity to humiliate someone :|).
