I have no words. Once again, old white men in the government think they can control women's bodies.

I bet they think they are SO clever, trying to get this legally defined criterion without that definition accepted.

My husband asked why they feel they can't just vote the way they want to and deny everything, but I pointed out that they want to, but bleeding heart liberals such as myself won't LET them, so they have to get underhanded.

Seriously this is so not okay. Drugged women aren't FORCED? Do you have to have bruises for it to count? FUCK YOU.

I've heard it said it's so they can begin using the "She didn't fight hard enough...therefore, she wanted it." excuse to deny people abortions.

Sick, but I could see it.

I've seen this link posted all over, and each time I see it I have only one thing to say:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Those fucking Repugs in Congress are lucky I live nowhere near D.C. because otherwise they might find their faces accidentally colliding with my fists. Repeatedly.

I'd copypasta my comment from ontd_p, but I don't have the heart for the marquee tag anymore. Needless to say, this is just terrible and I sincerely hope that it doesn't go through. I can't imagine how anyone would want to compound an already traumatic experience by splitting hairs about force as a qualifier. Ultimately, all rape is forcible, whether there's physical violence involved. I mean, that's kind of the point--you've been forced to have sex against your will. Force just isn't always a gun or a fist. Sometimes it's a threat or an implication. Either way, rape is rape is rape, and no amount of dressing it up in non-violent bunny ears is going to make a rape into a cute fluffy bunny. They're fucking assholes for even suggesting it, and I sincerely hope that even one of these politicians have a loved one who will speak up and tell them how wrong they are in assuming that just because a rapist didn't beat you or drug you that it makes being raped any less awful.

Other types of rapes that would no longer be covered by the exemption include rapes in which the woman was drugged or given excessive amounts of alcohol

So, actually, it's even worse.
