Veterans' Administration Not Paying Claims, Driving Veterans Into Bankruptcy and Homelessness

Due to a backlog in processing thousands of disability claims, military members and their families are forced to live on the streets because of foreclosures and are heading into bankruptcy courts at an alarming rate.This is so wrong I don't even have words for it. And the VA isn't going to do fuck-all to stop it because right now, they're PROFITING

The US has a long, proud history of screwing its veterans. Even the homelessness is nothing new.

I bet these soldiers are so proud to have served this honorable, decent country of ours!

Yeah I'm currently dealing with trying to get more disability out of the VA. Thank God I'm able to get money in other ways or I'd be screwed.

Better yet? When I started this process they were like "good news, the VA is getting a lot better and faster at helping veterans with disability so this process shouldn't take as long as it would have before"

So yeah, this is apparently ~improvement~
