It's a really stupid idea. It's a completely fucking stupid idea. She's going to think he's a complete dick. But...she was sweet to him and she's really fucking pretty and then there's the fact that she's kind of torn up too and, maybe, that's what matters more than being whole

It had been a pretty uneventful day for Penny, even for the island. She'd eaten and made a semi-successful trip to the clothing box before grabbing a new book, which she's spent the rest of the day reading. It wasn't great, just interesting enough that it makes her want to know how it ends, but she still doesn't notice her visitor until he's knocking on her door. She glances up quickly, surprised, but smiles widely when she sees who it is.

"Hi Tunny," she says happily, and gives him a small wave before carefully moving to sit at the edge of her bed. Once she has both her feet on the floor, she looks back up at him with interest, tucking her loose hair behind her ear. "How're you?"

At least she looks pleased to see him. He flashes a smile at her, crooked, looking down before he glances up through his eyelashes. He rubs the back of his neck.

"Good. I'm good. How're you feeling?"

"Better," she says. She was still in a little pain and wore out pretty easily, but the skin had healed and the stitches were removed, only leaving behind a pair of scars that she didn't like to look at.

"So, what're you up to?" she asks as she stands and puts her hands in her pockets. "Do you want to come in?"

"Looking for you, actually," he says, leaning his shoulder against the door-frame. "And, like, I could come in and hang out, but I think I totally have a better idea."
