wow that was simply amazing.

I will read the epilogue immediatly, but before that I want to tell you that I REALLY loved this fanfiction and that the only thing which I thought a little 'too much' was spock prime trying to bring them together so desperately because I thought 'if he experienced that love in his timeline why doesn't he just let things work the way they naturally will...' but now it all makes sense and I can totally understand his motivation.
everything just perfectly fell into place... and I'm loving it! <3

(sorry, this sounds so cheesy... .___.;;)

I'm so glad it worked for you! I was prepared for storms of hate-mail to come down on my head for that little 'reveal', but as tragic as it is, I think it was just so... right for this story. But sad, truly sad. :(

Oh my goodness, I love this so much. The twist of Spock Prime never having had this in his own timeline is just the most wonderful ending I could have imagined for this story, and one I definitely didn't see coming.

Off to read the epilogue.

Thank you! It was a hard twist to commit to, but it was what I planned, and it just... fit. :) I'm glad it completed the story for you, and that it fit while at the same time being a surprise!

'Thank you' was something, in that moment, that blended the best parts of Vulcan succinctness with Human freedom in expression.
I think the Jim-T'Sai farewell is one of the best goodbyes I have ever had the pleasure of reading. They do such wonderful things to my heart! and Spock Prime...*sigh* as heartbreaking as it is, I like the idea that he never got the chance with his Kirk and thus, felt his meddling necessary. The way you write him is just consistently brilliant and poignant and I really do hope we get to hear more about him even if he is no longer on the Enterprise.

Also:
“I told you Spock, you and me - we’re not easy. We’ll never be easy. That’s what makes it so interesting.”
This could not have been said better. It's so very true and it's the essence of them and what makes them so wonderfully complex and it articulates why I love their relationship (friendly, professionally, romantically, or otherwise) so darned much!

Thank you very much! T'Sai was a pleasure to write; I don't often do OC's, but she was... special. And Prime is, of course, my hero, because he hurts so beautifully and with such grace, and yet, he is the epitome of strength. And that line, about not being easy, was, for me, the height of why K/S works so well together. A greater challenge could never exist for one or the other - except one, or the other, lol. And I think that's what makes them great.

Oh, this is wonderful. So, so wonderful.
And Spock Prime not having been his Kirk's lover at all made me teary eyed and really sad. Which is a good thing, I wouldn't have wanted any other way.
(In my TOS headcanon the are lovers.) I love your reason for Spock Prime not having been his Kirk's lover in this story. (Well, maybe you do not see them as lovers in TOS...) Spock Prime's actions made sense to me, when I was under the impression that the Primes had been lovers, but now... Now there's another kind of sense and heartbreak and compassion.

Uhura is portrayed wonderfull too. I can see her like that, only asking for what he is willing to give. I feel sad for her and wish I could hug her. (Gaila should be on that ship, so that she'd have a girlfriend to talk to. Although I can't really imagine her confide in anyone. Anyone but Spock...) Okay, no rambling anymore, I'm going to enjoy the epilogue now :D

[Not having a paid account anymore sucks. Now I can't edit this very bold comment....]

Haha, it is a very BOLD comment, isn't it! I like bold comments! I wanted the Prime twist to be a sad irony, a sort of, omg, now I REALLY feel for what he did. But in my eyes, they are most certainly a couple in TOS (in my fangirl heart, anyway). It just happened to fit my universe that Prime's pushing them into romance came from somewhere a little bit desperate - and a lot hopeful.
