My Star - i
Junho x Suzy; 1238 words
★ Got the inspiration when I saw a shooting star some weeks ago when I was on my way home. Dedicated to my wonderful
se0ulmate. You are wonderful, Lisa. :* I hope you like this because you sucked me into this ship and basically the Junho universe. <3 Keke~
i found out in a later date after i wrote this was that my prompt looked like it came from the title of the k-drama “my love from the star.” hihi i’m sorry but my fic is not anything like that and i also have never watched it hehehe ;~;
“Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?” She half-shouted.
He arrived on a Monday, after she made her bed and went downstairs for breakfast. She was not in a hurry to go to school. School’s a drag, Sooji thought. She thought it also a waste that her parents were spending a lot of money on a school that she wasn’t even taking too seriously. It was stupid. So stupid because she didn’t know what to do with her life, much less her career in the future. She just went along with Broadcast Communication as a course, not even caring whatever it was her course was giving her credit for.
She broke away from her thoughts when he arrived. The stunning young man who was sitting on her couch, eyes glued to her, somewhat studying her. Sooji could not process any of those. Who was he and how the heck did he end up in my couch?
Studying him for a few seconds, he wore a loose white shirt and pyjamas, just like any guy who actually lived in his own home. Then it dawned on her: He slept here last night? Then Suzy shouted at him.
“I came from the shooting star which you made a wish on. I’m here to make that wish come true.” The man casually said.
His muscular hands were very attractive, and his chest (obviously with a six-pack) was peeking through the almost-transparent shirt. In all fairness, he looked gorgeous. But that wasn’t an excuse to tolerate strangers in her house.
How could that man expect Sooji to believe him? It was not everyday someone told her that he/she came from a shooting star now, was it?
Maybe it took her too long to reply because the man added, “You don’t believe me? Have this note. Mars gave it to me, said he wanted me to give it to you, unless the circumstances opposed our situation now.”
She tried to read what was written on the note, but it was all just a bunch of squiggly lines that she couldn’t make out. She could read Morse code, but that one was like alien Morse code, if there was even a thing. Mars? Who is he? And why would he send him to me? Does he mean Mars the planet or Mars the Roman god? Ugh crap.
She crumpled the paper and the man frowned. “Look, I don’t know what your deal is, but I don’t know you, and I would have to ask you to leave.”
“I can’t. You see, I’m jinxed to you. You can’t make me leave. No matter how hard you try. I’ll always show up in this house every night.”
It was official: That guy was definitely giving her the creeps. If everything he said was true, especially about the shooting star, then shouldn’t she take the chance? Besides, the man looked decent (more like gorgeous) enough to be seen with her in public.
Shaking her head, she asked, “Do you have a name?”
“Junho. I don’t have a family name, so just settle with that.”
“Junho. ‘Right then, let’s sort this supposed relationship of ours and move on with our lives, shall we?”
He did not understand why she trusted so easily. I mean, who trusts a man who ends up in your house and says that he came from a shooting star, and actually believes everything he says? Ugh this is a load of bullcrap. And seriously, why would she wish for her lover on a shooting star? Doesn’t she have to wait for that person to come? Ah seriously. I didn’t even know people believed in wishing on a shooting star. Complete nonsense. But throwing all of those thoughts aside, he was glad that she accepted her.
Fortunately, Junho did not talk of the Unspeakable Deal with her. It was named that for a reason. It were humans that should figure it out.
“If I’m not human, what am I then, Mars? What kind of effed up creature am I?”
Junho didn’t remember being born to that place, much less inhabit it. It was full of red everything. The whole place seemed inhabitable, but not likely if he could see creatures just like him roam around the grounds having a roll. All he could remember was his name. He couldn’t remember his parents, or anything more in his past life. If he even had any.
“You are a Reincarnation. If you don’t know what that is, then you’re stupid.”
Reincarnations were people that were “reborn” in the hands of Mars. There were Nirvanas in Venus and even Remakes in Neptune. Reincarnations were entirely indebted to Mars.
“I cannot answer further any more of your questions because it would be a violation to Sky’s orders. The last I can tell you is you’re here to serve me, and just so you know, I am the god of shooting stars. I serve those filthy earthlings, of course I have no choice, and give them what they want in the form of Reincarnations. Just like you.”
He had many questions forming in his head, but all he could respond was a nod. He saw no point in asking. He couldn’t do anything to contradict Sky’s orders, whoever or whatever that was.
“Fine. What am I supposed to do then?”
“Patience, Junho. I am not done yet.”
Damn, this Mars guy is invading too much of my personal thoughts, or maybe he knew that already?
“I only have one condition when it comes to granting wishes. I only grant them when the wishes involve a person, not just resurrection of loved ones which I cannot do and not even Sky can do. I also must tell you that you do have a past life in Earth. But you are not going to, in any way, go back to that life. No matter how hard you try, the past will always try to stay away from you, and there is no way out of that.”
Somehow, Junho did not seem too upset. Whatever, maybe I can be of use to this world. Maybe he was that nonchalant in his past life. Or maybe not.
“On to the deal. It is not really a deal when you are forced into it, but whatever. You don’t have much of a choice.” Junho rolled his eyes on that. “You will grant this girl’s wish. You cannot stay away from her because you will always end up in the same place where you arrived. Her wish is someone who will finally love her, her true love perhaps, to come to her life. And that lover will be you… Now, it’s not so hard, is it?”
Junho thought he overlooked one part of what Mars said, but he thought it best not to ask. He was set on whatever he heard Mars say. The guy already put himself in so much restraint that Junho didn’t feel the need to contribute to that.
Another reason why he fortunately wasn’t able to blurt anything from the deal was that he was busy looking at the girl to mind. She looked very, very pretty. Actually very pretty, but not exceeding too much for his liking. She looked too cute in a tank top and boxer shorts. Well, this wouldn’t be too hard. I should well be done with this deal in less than two months.
