We've had to make life adjustments in the wake of last_bastion's heart problems. Mostly, they've just been a matter of timing, but ironically the most interesting one has been food

I am glad you enjoy cooking. Horribly, I don't, but thankfully I know how, and now know what to use for better heart health.
I also like your pre-prep idea. And something I've taken to doing is chopping up whole onions and bell peppers that I keep in a small baggy to use in my meals, since those are staples in everything from breakfast to dinner.

I don't think I'm going to get my garden off the ground this year. Next year... I'll put the money away and be able to go in mid April to buy the things I need. I might try growing bell peppers along with the herb garden I'm going to plant.
Supposedly it has low-sodium stuff in it too, but they don't mention it in the books title. I'll give you an update whenever I get around to purchasing a copy :-)
Its as much an enormously huge way for me to say "I love you" as it is a money saver - something lovely magical about turning 'ingredients' into completed dish.
You and me both... and I'll be sending something your way.
