A drabble would be cool, if you get the inspiration--I am surprised that there are only a few fics that focus on Carter's Sioux heritage. I am planning one--that "Little Deer and the Phantom Riders" idea I mentioned some time ago...
Yeah, Chris is definitely the level-headed one--interesting in that you'd expect the elder brother to be the practical one, but Chris is the younger.
Lines of Communication by athena_crikey (this is unfinished but still an interesting read) The link is for the first two chapters. Chapter three plus author's notes can be found here
I really enjoyed reading "Big Game." Thanks for pointing it out to me! [I would read "Lines of Communication," but I tend not to prefer to get interested in a story that an author didn't finish.]
Also, I read "Trespass" last year, but thanks for reminding me about it.
If you come across any other stories about Carter's Sioux heritage, it would be much appreciated if you could send them my way. Thanks! :)
1) Those are also my reasons for loving Carter. There's just something about him that makes him so lovable, and I think it is his gentle nature, and the fact that he isn't the smartest crayon. But, such as in episodes like "Sticky Wicket Newkirk," he does know when and how to come through for his friends. It's those great, shining moments about him that I love.
2) Oh, I would love to read that blurb of yours! Why I have mentioned Carter's Sioux background in one of my fics, it was more of a throwaway sentence. I have always felt that there was so much potential there that the show never really picked up on. A pity, really. :(
3) As exemplified above, it does make perfect sense.
