In a desperate attempt to save Liam Fox's career, David Cameron has ordered Oliver Letwin to get himself photographed doing something really stupid.

You couldn't make this up. It's too ridiculous.

Jesus fucking Christ

Haven't these people heard of shredders?
I hope suppose your interpretation of events must be true as it is assumes the least terminal stupidity on Letwin's part.

PS, in my typical fashion - have you seen the one about Cam signing on to LinkedIn?

Apologies for the Fail, but I find it funny. Especially the screenshot of his LinkedIn page, for some reason. It might be the standard "at" instead of the more appropriate "of" when describing his jobs, as in, Leader *at* Conservative Party ;)

...still stalking you...

...now there is a Guardian blog poking fun at the Letwin bin affair in a much softer way:

I kind of agree, but there are times when this government resemble nothing so much as a punch and judy show. You have to laugh at it, or you will cry.

The funniest part of the LinkedIn page is that he only has thirty contacts. A very poor showing, Mr Prime Minister xD

And it seems that Fox has been given the boot. I wonder if some new bit of scandal was about to surface? Kind of bad for Cameron, possibly forcing his hand for a reshuffle?

Hmmm. Haven't the rightwing tories been very supportive of him? Though maybe just in public, and they are privately angry. But though there's no love lost between Fox and Cam, at least he was a known quantity, and a competent minister (if a bit overfond of 'accidental' leaks). Now Cam will have to replace him with someone else from that side of the party, someone who may be even more awkward. Or do a general reshuffle, which is even worse. It'll be an interesting couple of days.

(actually, no wonder Nick was yawning on wednesday. so much must be happening behind the scenes)
