DADT officially repealed.

Finally, DADT is dead. I want to congratulate the US Armed Forces in a step towards acceptance and more equality. And also express my support to all the brave soldiers who have been and are affected by DADT and it's aftermath. I may not be an American citizen, but I am none-the-less proud of anyone putting their life on the line to serve their ( Read more... )

Stole your picture. And the wedding link. Sorry. Or well, no I'm not, but sorry I didn't ask first, I just really, really need to go to bed now and you're not on skype...

Thanks you for this though, needed the reminder the world isn't all shit after ten hours straight of foreign policy. Too tired to express myself but so much love. <3

Pssh, like you need to ask. This is the internet, informations is meant to be shared (totally copy-leftish views?!).

Sorry for not being on skype despite saying we should talk, I was actually heading to bed myself but didn't want to leave you any dark place alone. Glad if I could inspire some hope though! Lots of Love right back at you!

:]

Hey, check out outservemag.com -- if you sign up, you can get digital copies of the monthly LGBT US Military Magazine :] I ordered hard copies of the official Repeal issue as I don't think my base will be getting them on our newsstands (they were only selected US bases that would be receiving them for distribution). 3 people I know volunteered to be featured in it -- that's so awesome!

Very, very proud to now be serving in an open military...! What a relief, though I was lucky to have never been forced into any dark corners. I tip my hat to all those who had to face the darker hours. While they may never forget, yesterday officially marks the first day of a stronger military :]

And also, HBO has "The Strange History of DADT" documentary. It aired last night (stateside time) so I'll be lookin' to finding me a copy of it on the intarwebz in the coming days.

This is yet another milestone in the full marathon of LGBT rights -- next hurdle: DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) D:
