It's sucks when a beloved fandom becomes corrupted by annoying fans that just want to fawn over the characters: OMFGBBQ TEHY R SOO HANSOME AND LEIK I WUNNA MARRY HIM!!!1 or that don't really give a fuck about the canon and just want to ship two random characters because they are SO PRETTY AND TOTALI MEANT 4 EACHUTHER! OMG OTP FUCK OFFF!!1 ....guh...

Makes me sad to hear that newer fans of Hetalia don't even care about the canon enough to learn something of the history it's portraying.. wtf making jokes about the Holocaust or Holodomor is NOT OKAY. wtf.

.......and OTP wars are just tiresome...! :/

Oh, and don't get me wrong, I still love my main fandom and I meet so many supernice people from there. 8T But uh, we have gotten a large influx of idiots. Well it's like they say in the Marine Corps "Semper Fi" (Always faithful) ...to your fandom!? ;)

Also, all things said and done, I'm still totally proud to say that at least...

You've got that right! So right... x'D After AC came out I sorta ditched the fandom, as in stopped reading the fiction. Most of the new fans just don't have the needed dept for the characters. It's not interesting or anything. =m= It's sad to see such a dear game get raped by fans that don't know a thing about the real canon TxT
(AC doesn't really even count in my books x'D It's such a fanservice show off)

tbh, I quit the main ff7 fandom like almost 10 years ago.. but well, ff7 had a huge impact on me (both game and story, amongst other things!!) and it is still a hugely important piece of game history awesome ♥ So I always feel betrayed when I stumble upon idiots that talk about it like they know it although they haven't even played it!!

(totally agree that AC is just a big explosion of hot fanservice... although that at least with the release of complete, it isn't solely ff7 lip service but actually fit with the game somewhat!)

Ff7 is what really sucked me into RPG games and pretty much games in general so it's always had a special part in my heart. U.U; The fandom hasn't had anything real to offer in ages, ages and ages. Nowadays it's just those OMGBBQSOHAWT-teens you mentioned above. =m=;
Seph and Cloud for example, I've always loved them as a couple when their relationship is sorta built around the canon and a little twisted. Just like it already is. x'D But what you mostly see (just guessing) is crossdressing clouds at the shinra prom and some other forms of weirdness... It's just lost the edge it used to have. >_<; Everything is so mushy and brainfree.
It really is a smack to your face when some people who know FF7 only for AC try to sound like the know something. *sigh* Don't talk the talk if you don't know how to walk the walk. Dx
