mi? Aging? I had not yet considered that...

Why do you not want everyone to celebrate your birthday?

I might finally turn thirteen?!

You can celebrate if you want, I guess. I didn't want to mention it just for the sake of putting pressure on anyone to do something for me.

I don't want to die...even if it isn't permanent.

What'd you mean by "it isn't permanent?"

... I'm pretty sure some of us do age over time. If Christmas time was anything to go by and with what happened during that time, then it is possible.

Okay.

Would you mind telling me what happened at Christmas?

It didn't last very long but things happened that made time itself go ten years in the past and then ten years in the future if you sum it all up. Almost everyone was different then compared to how we are now and myself included in that.

It was pretty much a wake up call with me when the ten year part happened...

Jeez, that sounds crazy. Are there any limits to the weird things they can pull here?

I wonder what it says about this place's sense of humor that my designated "wife" is less than half my age. Still, I suppose some congratulations are in order.

I know, it's ridiculous. I was still in school before I got here, and there's no way I was getting married anytime soon.

Thanks, though. For whatever it's worth.

It's certainly not worth much, but there's something to be said for taking comfort in the traditional.

Could be. Still, it's hard to think about celebrating my birthday without my friends from home.

That's a good point. I don't feel any different, but I don't suppose anyone would notice anyway.

Hard to say, huh? It's not like I could feel myself aging back home, either.

Yeah. Well, happy birthday anyway! I'm sorry, I don't think I know your name... I'm Tifa.
