Baby, tell me what's your story? (I ain't shy, don't you worry)

[The night was quiet enough. Quiet was a luxury back out there, and almost a luxury here. Living together worked for the four of them and made things noisy enough, but absent the chaos there were those quiet nights. Rochelle was wondering if she had gotten used to being cramped together with three other men in damp places trying to sleep ( Read more... )

[Nick never thought he'd be in a position where he shared a home with three other people, one of which was the most annoying redneck he'd ever met. Still he'd gotten used to having people around watching his back, maybe wanted them there just in case this peace was just a tease. Another outbreak could be right behind it and like hell would he be caught alone in it or with some jackasses.

Nick was already in the room--in a pair of khakis and a dress shirt with a few undone buttons. About as casual as he ever got, really. He was just moving around the table, pool cue in hand. Playing by yourself wasn't as much fun, but hell, he'd take it.

Been too long.

Or he would've taken it if he hadn't expected Rochelle standing in the door, looking in.]

Thought you'd be asleep, Sweetheart.

[Casual for Rochelle was dark jeans and a Depeche Mode t-shirt. Something easy enough to manuever in while she worked in Savannah. Casual for her was normal and wouldn't have been a suprise to any of them. So there she was in jeans she had worn that day and a lazy too-big t-shirt she had slipped into with a tank-top peeking out from underneath. She half-scratched half-fluffed at her hair. Oh yeah, she knew she looked real attractive here.]

Yeah, me too.

[She stepped into the room, eyes not leaving the pool table.]

When did we get that?

Today. Found it... pretty nice, huh?

[He flashed a grin, arched an eyebrow.]

Wanna play a game? Or... [Kind of trailing off, eyeing her, maybe debating on whether or not he ought to say what was on his mind or not. Probably not.]

Nevermind.

[Rochelle leaned herself against the wall, looking at it as an eyebrow quirked.]

Not bad, I just didn't expect us to all of a sudden have a pool table.

[She looked up at him, before giving a tired grin back.]

Sure, I can't sleep anyway. Already spent most of tonight going on a walk or watching bad movies.

[She walked up to him, still grinning, but obviously curious at his last words.]

Nevermind... what?
