Driving went well yesterday, by the way. I've spent so much time laughing while practicing lately that it's hard to really be nervous. I think it's because I've been in such a good mood anyway. :) Hence the random Gary Busey jokes ( Read more... )

sentimentalism, school, memories, vlog, i'm not gonna cry..., life

My favorite Beatle is always changing. It used to be Ringo, then it was John, then it was George. Hahaha so I guess I just hate Paul ;P

I saw District 9 which was fantastic! *proceeds to answer all your questions*

Um I just started college, and while my first week hasn't sucked I feel vaguely anti-social......but we all love the internet, don't we? Tell me, Dr. Sara <3

And BTW I hate driving. Hate it. And I don't have my liscence but there's plenty of time for that.....maaaybe.

My favorite was Paul for about two hours. Then John got me with his "I now declare this bridge OPEN!" thing. But then I fell for George and his whole Monty Python-supportin', uke-strummin', funny-and-peaceful sweet guy ness.

I LOVED District 9 as well!!! I'm very pro Prawn rights.

I spent much of my first year online. It's not that I promote not being social, but I feel that the right people will find and identify with you without you having to do much. I made friends in classes, and lucked into finding great roommates for my last two years via one philosophy class. :) Crazy parties and coming back shitfaced at 3 in the morning just wasn't my bag.

XD I'm the same way!! I feel a bit more comfortable now, but I still watch the clock for 'driving time' to be over. I'm definitely glad I waited.

Aww.. this is the first semester I haven't been in school since kindergarten as well. I'm already planning to go back, I miss it so much. They train us well.

Glad you're so happy and the driving is going well. Someone needs to enjoy life around here.

Doesnt it feel bizarre? I keep seeing back-to-school ads and literally crying, "I want a Dora the Explorer back-pack! I want to need #2 pencils again!" I don't want to sit through class, but I want the supplies and the recess, basically.

Thanks! I hope you're feeling better! You need to be happy NOW!

Oh goodness. The 'Favorite Beatle' question is so hard! Even though I love their music, I don't think I'm well-educated enough on their different personas to really give a true-ish answer.

Solo-careerswise, based solely off of music alone? Paul is my winner. His album 'Flaming Pie' is one of my favorite CDs in the entire world. But my Python-lovin' self has a special place for George.

I'm sure you know he had a cameo in Life of Brian, even a line... but when they had to re-dub, Mikey got to dub George's line! Also, Eric Idle's favorite George song also happens to by MY favorite George song -- 'Any Road' -- I hope you know it (it's a great song for someone who's just graduated college and onto her next big adventure)!

I'm biased, so I better not tell you about their personas... Let's just say that Paul is my least favorite for good reasons. I like some of his songs alright, but I just can't love him. :\

YES!!! That's part of why Life of Brian is my favorite Python film: his involvement. :D So that's not him saying "hello"? Really?! I do know that song! (And it's in my head now.) ♥ Brainwashed is such a fun album, but it makes me cry cos it's his last. :( So unfair, the world is. Talk like Yoda about it sometimes I do.

That's perfectly understandable. I've actually been meaning to learn more about their lives and who they are. It's been something on my mind a bit more lately (over the past year or so), so perhaps I'll get around to it. I'll also admit to being poorly-versed in former-Beatles solo careers. I like Paul's stuff because it's the stuff I'm familiar with.

It's totally not him saying Hello! It's the funniest thing. Being a Python fan yourself, have you managed to read Michael Palin's Diaries 1969-79? Quite possibly one of the greatest books I've ever read.

I highly recommend The Beatles Anthology, both the DVD set and the book. :)

I haven't read Mike's diaries yet! I got it for my birthday but it never came over to this apartment with me. I'm reading A Liar's Autobiography (along with Graham's audiobook of it) right now, but maybe I'll have to read Mike's book next. ♥
