This is a peculiar movie of jaw-dropping badness, a superhero musical comedy in which the writer mostly forgot to write in any actual jokes

My friends worked on "Mummy 3", and my then-girlfriend was into bad movies, so watched it in the theater. We forgot the sternly-worded advice to get schnockered first, and suffered for it.
Brendan Fraser seemed at least to be laughing at himself. Most of the acting was leaden, allowing the poor moviegoer time to contemplate the greasy mishmash of plot. The huge special effects scenes, which should have at least been impressive, were oddly blurred.
Jet Li was *fantastic*. He ate up the screen, making you forget the other characters, even the rest of the movie. Even after being squashed under layers of CGI he retained a solid and menacing presence. I can't imagine the threats he gave his agent, but the man totally worked it and was a joy to watch.
ps: I'd happily pay money to see Christopher Lee read the phone book.
