Yes, yes, it's a meme. But a very poetic one!

Were I a summonable creature, what kind of ritual would you craft to summon me?

I should have a burning car icon, the subject comes up so often.

Don't sweat it! I know I'm pestering you a lot!

Place one severed petal on your tongue,
speak the name of the lover
who most disappointed you
and spit.

HEE!

Wow, ask and you shall receive - and how! That is so beautiful and so me (and so you) - fire and fighting and food, wanderlust and the written word.

Thank you so much! I will treasure it.

Wonderful!!

If it is your own, go up into the mountains
and whisper the first dream you remember
to the foxfire in the stump of a lightning-blasted tree.

Loved that especially.

rachelmanija, that is quite a summons you've earned!

Clearly there would be Japanese or Chinese pastries involved!

That would do it!

Two of the first words I learned in Japanese, for the purposes of pastries, were "kurogoma" (black sesame) and "kuri" (chestnut.) Except that it turned out that in French-style Japanese pastries, the latter is actually called "marron."

I'm not quite sure, but somehow I managed it, which pleased me inordinately this morning when I checked my e-mail.

I realized that you were unable to read my pre-published (I hope) poetry and that you might enjoy doing so. (The tag is "my poetry.") ;)

You bet I would! It's one of the things I come on LJ for--people's poetry, I mean, and I like what I've seen of yours that's been unlocked so--thanks!

In an empty theatre, I would sacrifice a car in a fiery explosion, while chanting your praises in the form of thirteen romance novel-style epithets.
