I've heard ferrets called "carpet sharks" but I don't think I've ever encountered "carpet alligators". Now that you mention it, ferrets' body form does more closely approximate that of an alligator than a shark. I dub thee Coiner of New Animal Nicknames!

Have you seen the ad on tv for the alligator head that goes in the pool whose eyes light up at night? It's freaky that it looks so real

Maybe that brought the dream on?
