FMA Day

While driving downtown today I saw a storefront reading "Al and Ed's Automail." This rather surprised me, until I realized that it was actually "Al and Ed's Autosound."

At Kinokuniya downtown, I picked up a book with some nice karate photoreferences for telophase (ignore the horrible seventies haircuts and moustaches) and a book on karate tournament ( Read more... )

Ooh, I have some of those Trading Arts figures as well. If you don't get something you want, perhaps we can trade? I have 2 regular Roys, 2 silver Roys, a Hughes, and a Fuhrer.

I'd definitely take one of the extra colored Roys off your hands, as soon as I get a duplicate. It's nice to hear that there really does seem to be a random distribution of figures, given what you've gotten and I've gotten-- it drives me nuts when one or two of something are rare, so you keep buying them in the wild hope of finally getting Scar or Scieska or whomever...

I now have an extra Lust and an extra Envy, and I think an extra Izumi, all colored (I had to ship a box of stuff to myself from Japan, and it won't arrive for a while); I will trade for a colored Roy (as I now have a silver one) and a Fuhrer, if you're willing to part with yours. Maybe we all bring ours and put them out on a table in NYC?

The coolest so far have been colored Hughes and Izumi, and silver Ed-with-blade-arm and silver Scar.

The non-trading-arts plastic figures mostly aren't as good, but the Hughes-with-telephone rocks.

I'd love a Lust and an Izumi (or if not, the Envy). When you're coming to NYC, remind me and I'll bring my figures with me.
