The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. (Some other equivalent gift, like icons or mini-fanmixes or quickie meta, would make sense for people who don't write fic themselves ( Read more... )

Amy walked up to the door of her parents' house, her hand slid into Ephraim's hand. She had been in this house almost every single day of her life, but this time was different. The door almost seemed a little bit foreboding--until it opened.

"Amy!" Her father smiled and held his arms out to her. Ephraim released her hand and she slid into her father's embrace. He held her for a moment, then let her go.

"Ephraim." There wasn't as much warmth in his voice. She had worried about this, but her father had to know how important Ephraim was to her.

Before she could say anything, Ephraim was moving past her and into her father's arms as well. He had been holding them out to Ephraim, and he was...he was genuinely hugging Ephraim.

There was a look of shock on Ephraim's face as her dad let him go.

"Well, get used to it," Dr. Abbott said as he stepped back to usher them into the house. "You're family now, son."

OH HAROLD ABBOT I LOVE YOU

This is so perfect! Amy/Ephram is one of those show-sanctioned pairings that I love beyond all belief, so the idea of them being happily wedded thrills me no end. And the shock on Ephram's face, hee -- I can SO see that.

Thank you so much, dearest Rachel!
