1) I like how you pulled Jason into this.
2) That last line broke my heart.

I have to add this at the end--I hadn't written anything and then I read your story and it just made me think of this. And so I wrote it. Quickly.

I have NO faith it's going to happen. Except in my world.

Cause in my world, Jay Street would have been on that field last night---you know he would have been.

Oh well, we always have season 1.

RAACCCHHEEELLLL!!!!!! When the hell did you write fic!!!!!

Jesus - and fic it is!!! I should have known it would be Jason fic and not just JD fic but they were both so great!

but now he'd gone and acted like a jackass in front of QB1. And the coach's daughter.

I didn't think about Julie being the 'coach's daughter' in that scene - just that it was Matt and a 'girl'. But JD would definitely be more embarrassed that it was Julie instead of some random girl. Good catch.

JD looked down at the former quarterback's hand. Some of his fingers were curled toward his hand, the others were sticking out straight.

"Just shake the hand, JD," Jason instructed him.

Ha ha. Apparently Jason has grown a pair in his absence! I like it!

"Any other advice?"

Jason smiled and nodded. "Yeah. Keep your head down."

Dear sweet baby Jesus - could you break my heart a little more forcefully please? Great, great story.

(WHEN DID YOU WRITE FIC!?!)
