Apparently our website is irritating. The writer came across as the worst sort in my mind he sees that they're taking Asian characters and painting them white, he acknowledges that its wrong.. and doesn't care.

lol "the show only had cultural markers, not racial ones" whut?

oh lets see in that corner, some guy on a movie blog. In this corner, Roger Ebert and Ursula LeGuin and half the original production staff of the animated series.

Yeah, I'm good with those odds.

Bcz 'brown' is just dark-white. LOL Seriously though, people do argue that the two siblings are white, as crazy as it sounds.

"With all respect, read the self-righteous and deluded about page, which comes complete with exemplary photos of successful celebrities of color, and tell me these people are not hurting their own cause."

Lovely. The story was clearly so poorly researched they needed to fabricate their own evidence.

Really, it just makes them look bad. But I doubt many of the readers will realize this as they blindly go along with what the article says...

We did have stories of celebs before. I've been retooling the "About Us" page over the past few days to reflect our Wondercon display.

lol what? Did they... maybe mistake the Media Monday stuff for the about page? Either way, it feels like they're just trying to smear the racebending site and paint us as strawmen so that the movement seems petty/not important.

"There are obviously scores of people who care passionately about this; one of them even started an irritating protest website dedicated to a boycott of Airbender and a broader push for giving minorities a fair shake in Hollywood casting. (With all respect, read the self-righteous and deluded about page, which comes complete with exemplary photos of successful celebrities of color, and tell me these people are not hurting their own cause.)" (emphasis mine.)

Something tells me this person's not exactly looking for an open dialogue here.

Nothing more irritating than people with opinions and actually doing something with them.

I'd be the first to point out something screwy with the website, but here, I just don't see it -which kind of bothers me in a way, but I look at it as this dope read through that page with a lot of bias.

We've definitely retooled the page a lot the past few weeks. We also added an FAQ because we kept getting the same questions over and over!

If you guys have any thoughts on the FAQ, please let me know!
