LaviYu day, coming up fast!
Hello again, this time I'm just bringing a quick reminder. For those of you who see this for the first time in your life, make sure to read this entry to know what the hell I'm talking about!
This year, on July 8th, we are celebrating the LaviYu day. You're supposed to post all of your LaviYu (or YuLavi) stuff that you have been (hopefully) working on since the first announcement (or whatever), on respective sites (like, everything fits on LJ; fanart also goes to DA and such sites, fiction - to FFnet and so on). Please don't forget to mention LY day/fest in the descriptions! Basically, it's a 'LETS FLOOD THE NET WITH LAVIYU' day. And...WE NEED ALL OF YOU GUYS!

Also, I want to ask everyone who are submitting fiction and have FFnet accounts, do post your works there, on the very date! I know some of the reasons that some of you might hate that site, but giving up is never a good option, so let's breathe some LY life into it.

On a different note, I'm not yet sure if I will be able to be online on that day (but I'm working on it). If it comes to worst, my fiction will be posted on FFnet by 'My Lavi' on the right date, however that means it won't appear on LJ until later. So if you don't see my post here and want to see what I had written, visit my FFnet account.

Also, I believe now it's a good time to discuss the future of the LaviYu fest. A day is little, very little; and further improvements have been discussed for a while now in this thread on DGD.
A day is little - in fact, very little. Yet now we can't be sure what we are up for; after July 8th, we will know whether or not we can plan to make this event bigger.
So keep in mind, that below suggestions apply to next year's festival only, if the LaviYu day goes well.
The final and mostly appreciated version of a full-fledged festival was this:
June 6th: Kanda's Birthday + Opening. That would most likely keep us to the usual stuff - some pictures or fics dedicated to Kanda's birthday, and - maybe something for the opening, to be decided.
June 7th-13th: Fanfiction week. Yes, this would be the ultimate fics flood. If we decide to go with this, themes could be created and posted upon the start of the planning of it, for the people who have trouble writing 'anything they want'.
July 8th: LaviYu day. Used for posting fanart (no week because it's quite hard to make/get, and the number of artists participating is usually low plus most of them are hard to contact and they have been informed about THIS date), colorings or graphics, and any shit that doesn't fit or you couldn't manage for other categories (like threads about why LY is canon or flooding the net with HAIL LY FEST messages).
August 3rd-9th: kinkmeme week. How exactly it would work, still can be improved; however the main idea is this: during this week, every day at least one LY kinkfic would be posted, and by its end (Lavi's b-day), there should be no unfilled LY requests left. Most likely, we could also post a page of requests during the LY day OR the start of the festival; just so we'd have what to fill afterwards (also, there are some older requests I'd love to see filled. Want links, anyone?).
August 10th: Lavi's Birthday + Closing. Same as with Kanda's birthday and the opening.
So yeah, if LY day is a success, and we decide to go with this, I'll most likely open a LaviYuFest planning community in winter, so we could plan everything properly. 0___0 I still wanna know what you guys think about it, so yeah. Give meh feedback, and don't forget that this is FOR THE FUTURE ! Right now, let's focus only on the LaviYu day, and make it impacting. <3
