It's not the end of the world or anything, it's just really surprising. I'm a regular blood donor and my hemoglobin numbers are usually strong. I guess I haven't been eating as much lately...and my mom did point out that I was sick just after LBCC, so I guess that makes sense.

I'm gonna need to eat me some STEAK.

Any excuse to eat steak is a good one, lol. At least it's not a permanent thing and you know that you'll be able to donate in the future.

And I do love me some spinach salads. Putting the two together...genius! Sheer genius!

I don't know how keen you are on leafy greens but kale has more iron than meat. I know a good recipe that has kale, sausage, white beans and polenta (Italian style corn grits)

After we started eating this dish we haven't been turned away by the red cross even once. And my parents really struggled with their iron. Say the word and I'll reply with the recipe.

I don't believe I've ever had kale, but I do like most leafy greens, so I'm definitely down to try. Your recipe sounds delicious, so I would love to have the recipe, thank you!
