Grrr. The screen on my beloved, apple-green Dell laptop is on the fritz. Sigh, no fic-writing in bed for the foreseeable. Luckily, I have a crappy old Gateway monitor (are those people still in business?). I wonder if the wee hdtv in my kitchen is compatible...would much rather use that...

Yep, I've got several HDMI cables lying around (we recently upgraded all our tv's - early Christmas present), so I had an extra, thankfully. Am using it right now and you're right that the resolution is a bit strange. But it'll do until the tech support guy comes.

I am still amazed at the picture of the HDTV I have. I don't want to use the words "picture quality" because it's something else entirely. The image is so sharply rendered, it's almost 3D. It's like the people are in the room, or more importantly, that I'm in the room with them. I am very glad my sis got a fat bonus this summer :)
On another note, thanks to the HDMI cable hookup, the sound is now running through the wee tv instead of my pc, and the speakers are pretty good. So, yay, kinda.

Hard Sell:
Neal: Peter, I'm flattered. You think I can keep up with these guys?
Peter: Give me a break, you could sell light switches to the Amish.
And one of my favorite scenes is from Vital Signs, the Jimmy Burger story, all the way through when Jones brings some files to Neal.

And happy almost completely new computer!
I am going to be SOOOOOOOO blue when your twelve days fest ends. Which is all the more reason to open the promptfest in early January - once I finish the monster fic that has eaten my life.
Am using my Diana icon for no good reason other than I feel like it.

Maybe I should take a short break and write something else. It's not like I haven't made progress (15k since Christmas eve).
