I did not. Actually, I had been bereft of ideas for these two and had no intention of writing another one until something came along, then something did. Thanks must lie with lauracollared

It's angstier than I imagined Neal's and Henri's meeting -- poor wee kitten! I kind of imagined a grownup Henri approaching Neal and announcing, "O HAI, I IZ BEN WAITING FOR U. U IZ MY HOOMIN." But it's pretty definite in this story that Henri adopted Neal, and I love the idea of Brave! Wee! Henri! saving Neal from peril.

That bad manz almost certainly stole the kittens intending to sell them on the black market. I'm glad they didn't end up as some rich person's trophy.

It was always in my headcanon that Henri and Nealz met in the course of a case at the FBI, and that Henri had something to do with spoiling things for the baddies, but I didn't really have the inspiration to write that until now.
