Aw man, Peter in the stairwell; that was really, really well done. And, Neal correcting his grammar, good job of making me laugh and break the tension.

I loved how you had Diana in her mind not wanting to be the little girl calling. It shows so much about her and particularly how much she respects Peter and likes Neal.

Finally, I like that you had Sara and Neal as friends. I am not a Sara hater (I just don't like her as Neal's "girlfriend") and I think the character is much better served as a friend and occasional guest star. (LOL)

Thanks for the feedback! I like Sara too, though I think the writers did her a disservice in this episode. I find it hard to watch her giving Neal a hard time about not being forthcoming with her when she hasn't with him.

That said, I do like having Hilarie around, anyway, she makes things fun, and if they make her and Neal friends (with benefits?), I'll be a happy camper.

I love your take on this. The different perspectives are great and at the same time balanced and work welll. Not everyone would be so cool in a situation like that and I'm glad you showed how weakness is human too. I think this succeeded on many levels.

Thank you for writing it, a wonderful Sunday afternoon treat!

Thanks! I'm so glad now I didn't read your version first - I know I'd have been too freaked out by your most excellent take too much to finish!

I find formats like this one - sort of like a five times... stories - to be a hell of a lot of fun to write, because you can skip ahead and not feel you've cheated the audience.

This story was fantastic! I love the way you do "hurt Neal", he still remains strong emotionally. And the others give comfort without going over the top. Please keep this type of story coming!!

Thanks, Anon! I do detest wimpy characterizations of Neal.
