So I've been going back and forth in my head about what to write regarding the movie. Let me start by saying, I'm not going to do a cut and hide anything. If you haven't seen it yet and you want to, probably best to just skip my post ( Read more... )

His endings lose a lot of people. I was willing to let Serenity slide, but I finally got to the series finale of Angel, and "ugh". At least Serenity went out with more of a bang.

I'm real glad I never got into Angel. I think that is good if you can let Serenity slide. I myself am not as forgiving, especially when Joss seems to complain about his movie/tv show not making any money when he not only writes crappy endings like those, but also doesn't bother to market his products. Like you need to spend money to make money, right? If you don't "sell" your product, you won't sell your product.

Geez, I'm still pissed off at him I guess, sorry.

Merry Happy Holiday Solistice whatever you celebrate thingy!

I am not sure I agree that it is the writer's job to handle "marketing" but in Joss's defense he does a LOT of gatherings, signings, appearances, etc. The network and studio failed at marketing. In fact the "Browncoats" (the fans) did more for marketing than anyone actually involved in making the series or movie ever did.

I am a strange case in that I was sorrier to see Shepherd Book die than I was to see Wash impaled. I wanted to know his story, and I like Ron Glass. lol

You're allowed to be pissed, but don't let it ruin the weekend!! ;)
Merry Holidaze Things!

I loved it, but I like unhappy endings.
