Okay, HERE'S where irritation begins
It got worse.
This morning I walked to my nearest credit union branch office and moved funds from my savings account into checking so that I could pay for my auto repairs later in the day. Then I hopped a bus and had fun seeing "Butter" at the Bijou and milling around the MonsterCon that was going on at Wonderland Mall.
Then I got a call in the early afternoon from Firestone. The heat from yesterday's incident had caused a crack in the radiator. I needed a new one, adding $400 to the total bill.
Irritating, but still manageable. So, I hit the ATM to move more money into my checking account.
The time finally came to get my car out of the shop. My card was declined twice, as was a check. Calling the credit union's automated line yielded a surprise. My account was frozen.
(*grumble grumble*)
Irritating and inconvenient, yes, but far from unfixable.
Well, there's still a day left in the weekend. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to try to call the credit union's help line and get things straightened out so I can get my car back. I will need it for Monday.
