So yesterday my girlfriend and I found out that the finance for our home-loan fell through, so here we are, back at square one. :) But it's okay, because I wasn't particularly looking forward to living in Armadale anyway. So today, to celebrate the news, we're going out to spend a whole bunch of money we've been saving. Yaaay. Plans for our $1,200 ( Read more... )

Oh I spent that money! Except we couldn't find a dehydrator :( I think we'll have to go somewhere bigger/more specialized.

And I'm completely the same. 80% of the time my girlfriend asks what I want for dinner my first reply is "PANCAKES!" but I never get them. :(

Oh man those look good!

A dehydrator? Are you guys exploring a bit of raw veganism?

Yeah, we're definately ready to delve into it a bit. Not as a main diet, though. Winters coming up and I'm just hanging out for all those stews and soups and warm, filling cooked meals :D It's more for trying our hand at dehydrated chips, fruit straps (because we eat a lot of those), and drying our own fruits.

We're also buying a slow cooker next week in preperation for winter. Yum! Rich lentil bean stews here I coooomme.

Haha, I JUST had pancakes (for dinner)! My housemate made them.

What's your recipe?

Oh, and PS, I agree about Armadale ;)

We use this one, but we only use 3/4 tablespoon of baking powder, and we add in vanilla essence. Yummy! And they cook perfect everytime.

And yeah, Armadale (or Arma-hole, as I like to call it) was the only place we could afford to buy a -house-. But now we have to start looking again!
