If you need help finishing your blouse, or in making a petticoat, let me know.
I think I remember you *acquiring* a very cute short sleeved blouse with little frills on the front? It would look great with this :)
I think the boning you are talking about is the plastic I use in fashion corsets and garments, it's tri-fold (or triple flex), sometimes called 'German plastic'. It's what's in bloodmyer's black tafetta corset bodice :) It's not actually a sound manufacturing process to put steel boning in a dress as the support fabrics won't take the weight and stress of steel ones.
DO you know how to take a pattern from an extant garment? Because if you like the fit, it might be worth taking a pattern from the garment and using it as a base for future sewing projects.
I think I'm managing with the blouse, I just need to do the collar. Petti might need some help with though, I have a few different patterns I just don't know what's the best fabric to use because the written instructions are in Japanese :/ You think so? I wasn't sure it would work with it being stripy, never hurts to try though so I'll try them together later and see what I think. I'm not sure what it is but you're most welcome to have a bit of a prod at it next Saturday (Gay Pride and Charnel House are the same day again :D). I only know how to take patterns from things if I take them apart, and I'm not really wanting to do that :/
