Never mind his fan base, it's pretty much in-line with our culture/"zeitgeist", wouldn't you say?

For example, I was just reading something recently an interview from a while back with Steve Jobs, he was asked why Apple hasn't come out with an ebook reader. He said it's because people don't read. According to polls/surveys, 42% of the population said "one or less" when asked how many books they'd read in the last year.
