I love fall. :D So even though I'm still oh-so-busy, I have fic for you wonderful people, which regrettably has nothing to do with fall, but oh well!

because when Cain is in the middle of a case he eats, sleeps, and breathes the case, and does very little of the usual eating and sleeping (breathing, of course, is less easy for him to abstain from.

*snorts with laughter* Because not even the great Earl of Poison can escape the inevitable need to breathe.

There are just so many things about this piece of work that's simply delightful~ ♥ You managed to flawlessly capture the voices of the characters we all love (Cain's absolute dedication *coughs*obsession*coughs* with a case, Riff's absolute resignation in the face of his master being, well, his usual self *grins* and little Miss Merry being the icing on an already lovely cake ♥).

And, more than that, you do it in a weave of words that truly bring them all to life. The quote above is one of my favorites, and another would be this,

and Merry laughs, plopping down on her brother's abandoned chair and helping herself to his equally abandoned eggs.Your stylistic choices, your attention to detail in your choice of language and use of ( ... )
