...

And real maple syrup can go bad if it's not refrigerated. Or however that's spelled.

No, I realize it COULD go bad (I assume anything that you're told to stick in the fridge (see how I sidestepped that spelling completely?) can and will eventually go bad.) It's just I never expected it to go bad in just a matter of hours/one day.

And certainly not to taste like pickles.

Frankly, I think "like maple syrup, if maple syrup tasted kind of like pickles" is an excellent way to discribe sweet and sour sauce if you've never had it, don't you?

HAHAHA. Sorry but that is hilarious! I can totally see myself doing that, because I hate wasting food, too. And now I'm totally hungry for pancakes. Sans the sweet-and-sour!

No problem, I KNOW it's funny. (And besides, if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?)

This sort of thing (not specifically food-related) seems to happen to me rather frequently. (Remind me sometime to share the time on vacation I was trapped in a public restroom for more than an hour - before any of my family came to look for me! Or the time we went fishing, and ... yeah.)

And, yes, pancakes are wonderful! (Although personally, I'm craving waffles right now!)

Yeah, it's going on The List (of Stories That Happened To Me [That Even At The Time I Could Tell Were in "Someday, This Will Be Hillarious" Catagory])

I think I need a shorter title for my List.
