After reading Ransom's post,and how much he likes new smells, I wanted to admit something, something that makes me look nuts, but maybe you'll understand. Every once in a while, when I'm walking my girls and they start going nuts sniffing something, I get the urge to get on my hands and knees and see if I can smell what they are smelling. I mean, they're going crazy, so it must be ..interesting, right? I haven't done it yet, but I wonder....
Hee! I totally understand! I always try to envision things from my dog's perspective.
I haven't done that (yet) either, but on our walks and during games and things, I try to look at stuff from the way HE would find it interesting.
Although, I spent MANY of my formulative years on my hands and knees impersonating Lassie, or some other canine.
(And I'll confess, I used to sometimes sneak a taste of dog food or biscuits to see what was like. I was only 4 or 5, but I do recall that most Wal-Mart brand-type dry food is pretty dull, the different colored biscuits really DO taste different, and dry cat food has a lot more taste than dry dog food, which may be why most pups seem to love it so much.)
