Some days are just NICE

It's a cool, post-rainstorm morning, birds are singing outside my window, I just took a batch of fresh, homemade bread out of the oven, and I have the house pretty much to myself all day so it's quiet and peaceful as I putter about.

What is your Friday like?

Outside my office window, I can see it's a sunny day with scattered clouds. I'm sipping my latte and taking a short break before going back to work and finishing up a project today.

Fresh, homemade bread sounds amazing! I wish I were not so intimidated by yeast.

Intimidated by eating it or cooking with it? Cause, yeah, fullfledged whole-wheat loaves can be an endeavor to do correctly. But there are rolls and flatbreads and pizza crusts and even PITAS that are quick and easy.

(No, honestly, quick and easy whole-wheat pitas! SO yummy!)

Cooking with it. I never thought about making pitas! I'll have to find a recipe and try it. One thing I really like about pitas is that you can make pita chips out of them, too. YUM.

Damn, I did casual friday's today, but that is what I had on yesterday. LOL

Today it is a violet shirt and I had jeans on.

Pretty relaxing here. I'm going to go buy a cookie from the cookie place down the street and then maybe see a movie later on today.

I'm also thinking of making a Skins animated mood theme.

I'm actually working. It's just that I work at home and so have much freedom with my hours. Worked from like 8 to 11 last night so I'm some what "caught up" for the week and could take it slow this morning.

It's just very ... calm today for some reason. Serene. Don't know why, but I'm enjoying it.

Plus, I had a flying dream last night. I haven't had one of those in a long time (or at least, can't remember it - and I usually remember my dreams) - and they're almost always nice.

I've been puttering around the house and garden, now I'm resting. It's been a nice Friday here, too.

SO yummy! For lunch, I cut two big slabs, topped it with ripe tomato slices and cheddar cheese, and grilled in the toaster oven. MMmmmm!
