Henry: Ahoy maties . . . it's because you're at sea.
Magnus: Did you say Sally?
Henry: *pointing to Will* That was his idea.
Will: It's our nickname for the Sanctuary Mermaid.
Magnus: She has a proper name, you know.
Will: Which is unpronouncable.
Henry: It's a true fact.
Will: Besides, it beats calling her something obvious like . . . Ariel.
Henry: Marina.
Will: Oceana.
Henry: Ursula.
Magnus: No! No! Let me out! Please!
He asks questions | We find out more about her ♥ [always a plus]
They play doctor together: she examines the bodies | he examines her [that sounds so bad]
He pokes beyond her walls | She defends her ground.
She's the mentor he's never had before . . . and family.
He is ready to take her place, he just doesn't know it - and a nose bleed spoils the moment (stupid parasite!)
He locks her out for his own good.
He warns her not the mix drugs drinks.
She trusts him to kill her when the time comes . . . and to be creative.
He toys with the notion of having a gun | She nearly wrecks the sub.
Will: Fight it Magnus! Fight it! The parasite doesn't care whether you live or die. It'll just move onto another host and do it all again.
Magnus: Shoot me you coward. Shoot me!
Will: Give me a reason not to!
Magnus: *grabs his arm and pushes him against the bulkhead* You weak, pathetic little bastard! Do you think this is what I wanted? This life! *pushes him* I have suffered - for so long! Totally alone! And honestly, Will *points gun at him | and menacingly says* No-one lives for ever.
Will: What's going on?
Magnus: I think you know. Don't you feel it?
Will: Feel what?
Magnus: Liar! You bloody liar!
Will: Ok, ok, I can feel it.
Magnus: It's incredible isn't it! It's like sunshine. It's like a drug.
Will: Magnus listen to me -
Magnus: 'You're not yourself Helen. That thing's got control of you. I can help you, Helen!' I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to profile me, aren't you? Like a common criminal. Well here's a little secret for your books . . . I'm not so common.
Magnus: My work will never be done. Which means that you have to accept the fact that one day, you may have to carry on without me.
Will: Fine. Just not today.
Magnus: No. Not today.
