My new car smells to death like moth balls. I'm actually allergic to mothballs so I didn't know it smelled like moth balls. I thought it smelled like engine, so I guess I lucked out. But I want to get rid of the mothball smell

since mothballs are 1-4 dichlorobenzene, the smell will go away. I'd recommend airing it in the hottest temperature you can stand. Crack the windows and keep a fan running if you can.
When you say crack the windows, is this to keep the heat in as much as possible? I've read that it will evaporate at high temps so water and heat will do wonders. Too bad the windows are tinted. I'm likely going to remove the tint if it's easy. And maybe the tint will make the car hotter? I'll definitely check for mothballs around the car. Thanks Phil!!!
