I'm glad that you got a different form of feedback about your slimness; I never ceased to be amazed at what asshatery our brains can lay on us.

As for Spatula - what a cutie! I would be tempted if I wasn't the commander of a cat army already. I hope you can find someone that appreciates that sweet lookin' kitty!

Lauren, I talked to (my) Tony, and we would love love love to bring Spatula home. We have a supremely mellow orange tabby (Jackson) who needs a mellow buddy, and Spatula sounds perfect. Sorry I missed the earlier post, or I would have contacted you earlier. Will you be in Dallas sometime soon? Tony said we can get him at your convenience.

Uhm...OMG! Really, if you are serious, I would be so happy to place him with y'all!

He's on the playful side right now in between his naps, but I think he'll mellow out more once he's neutered and, well, not a teeny kitten :-)

I'll be in Dallas on Friday!
I don't know that I'll be able to get him neutered and vac'd by Friday, but I can talk to you more in-depth about that via phone. It'll get done, even if I have to prepay for him at a HS clinic in Dallas.
I'm out of pocket for about an hour, then will have my mobile on me for the rest of the night/tomorrow. Drop me a ring, and I'd be more than happy to fill you in a bit more on him, and work out logistics if you think he's a good fit!
