It had been an interesting little trip to Boeshane for more reasons than one. Full of discoveries, both good and bad. But steps forward, and steps that Jack for now was at least optimistically hoping were positive. He felt a bit naked without his sonic screwdriver, but the TARDIS was cooking him up a new one. But, really, what sort of trouble could they really come across at the end of the universe?
Apart from the other trouble they'd already come across?
"Bar looks a bit crowded."

He let out a laugh, small and warm, and he looked over to the bar across the way.
"Guess that's a cue for me to go and find a way to the front, right?" he asked with a laugh. "Unless you think you can do better of course."
Just a bit of teasing. That was always good.

He looked around at the bar. It was different than he remembered it. Red streamers and cheesy lights had been pulled down, replaced by cool silver piping, wood paneling, and blue mood lighting. It was significantly classier, but it felt...familiar, somehow. Like he'd been here before.
"This place has changed so much," he said. "Well, everything changes eventually, doesn't it?"

He looked up and around the bar, nodding slightly. "I like it," he said. "Good colours, classic looking. Very smart."
And on that, he slid from the seat and stood. Before leaving, he touched an arm to the Doctor's shoulder. "Don't miss me too much," he said, shooting him a wink before turning towards the bar and heading off into the crowd.
Barely a moment later, almost as though it was timed, a waiter stepped over to the table. He looked as though he might take an order, but he made no attempt to. Instead he spoke.
"Doctor?" he said, half a question, half a statement. Almost nervous, as though he'd rehearsed this.
"The manager would like to see you. Alone. He asked that you 'get rid of your friend'."
The waiter paused.
"And he'd prefer it if you didn't keep him waiting."
