A bit more than a week ago, Square announced that the November version update will be the last major version update for Final Fantasy XI. Beyond that...service for Xbox 360 and PS2 will end in March of next year. Oh wow, that's so sad to hear. Even though I don't play anymore (and my character is gone so I couldn't return to it on him if I wanted to), knowing FFXI was still there made me happy.

And I swear, I'm going to go to my grave being annoyed that I left Thistle's house a mess when I logged off for the last time. Years later, it still bugs me that I left things everywhere and my inventory was a mess... even though with the loss of my character his inventory and house are gone.

Are you considering giving FFXIV a try? It's quite a bit of fun and so pretty.

I suppose there is always a good chance I'll give FFXIV a try at some point, assuming I don't take a break from MMORPGs in general. Someone on my LS mentioned that I don't play 95% of the games on my Steam game list, so I should probably work on that...

And haha, I can't believe you're annoyed over your old Mog House. I never put much effort into mine, but I guess you're one of those who spent a lot of time decorating it. :3

Yeah, having a nice mog house was one of my favorite things in the game. It's odd, because I'm certainly not that that OCD about keeping my RL house in order, but game houses? Must be perfect!

If you do end up trying FFXIV, feel free to poke me for a RAF, then we'll both get spiffy bonus items. :)

What's RAF? Royal Air Force?

And I think I'm the same way in other aspects. I don't think about what I wear in real life all that much, but I obsess over what I wear in game, and it's not even always about the stats. And just wait until a good game that combines some type of activity tracker with RPG elements comes out. I may not care enough to work out for myself, but I sure will for that +5 Agility bonus. That's how screwed up my priorities are.
