This is bizarre--our real estate property taxes have gone down two years in a row.  The world really is backwards...

Has the value o your home gone down along with the rest of the US?

They haven't reassessed it's value that I am aware, but either way, I don't think it's value would have changed much. The market here is more price stable, with only a slight decline (1-2%) so far.
