Mmm... Lovely. It's full of such sadistic imagery it almost makes you like Naraku. It kind of gives me the image of a cat who insists that the dead rat laid at your feet should be cherished rather then 'ewed' over and thrown away.

I also like the symbolic imagery of sunsets and dusk, no matter if you meant it or not. Red as love or red as anger/hate/blood and then the descent of Kikyou's enjoyment of sunsets into despair mirroring the fading sunset itself. Very well put together, IMO.

Wow thank you! I'm so glad you saw all of that. Red can be a very symbolic color, that much I wanted to convey, same with your allusion of the cat.
