So much in this chapter! I don't know where to begin.

Poor Claire. Her humanity was really there in this chapter. Her grief and anger over her colleagues' murders. Her empty relationship with Rene, that she obviously needs but doesn't seem to realize. The hopelessness she feels over her future and connections with people. And then learning the truth about Peter! I guess I should have seen that coming but what a surprise! And I felt for Claire. This is horrible. (In a really great way!)

She knew her fate. Someday she’d have to say goodbye to everyone. Like the world, she was stuck here, living forever as pain and humanity faded away from her, and everyone else would leave her behind. Beautiful!

And the action. Wow! Claire is bad ass! The grenades were awesome! Thanks for that.

Can't wait to see where this goes!
