I really like this!

I like the way he feels so many regrets and fears, and then he feels safe when Diggle gets there. And the outsider POVs were interesting too.

Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it.:)

It's times like that when you really get the sense of how much Oliver needs Diggle. I love those two.

this is great, just what i was in the mood for. :)

it's not every day that the bad guys win, and the heroes need to deal with that. psychologically as well as physically. and despite his despair, and the reminders of all the times he's been a victim before, at the end he is still ready for a rematch.

also have to mention i like when he realizes he's been such a dick. i can't help but think that when i see the scene with him going on the yacht, and laurel wants to give him her picture to take with him... even though he's taking her sister and not her... :X omg, i want to kick him in the nards there....
but anyway, yes, his prior 'self' was so different. and i do like oliver, at least the older and wiser version. i suppose there's a lesson there in how people can change...

sorry, rambling away there. i did enjoy it a lot. :)

(ps: i did spot one typo, where it said 'borrow' instead of 'burrow.' a quick edit will take care of that.)

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it as I wasn't sure if anyone would like this type of fic! :D

That's true we don't get that happening much and when we do the hero does tend to have a bit of a soul search as they do hate to lose. I enjoyed delving into Oliver's head! And he's certainly changed a whole lot from the spoilt brat he once was.

Oh, thanks for the heads up. *goes off to edit* :)

This was a great read and I really liked the little twist with the nurse recognizing his gear at the end.
